Aetna Federal - RNY Revision to DS

I poked around the revision messageboard, but there is not a lot of information or activity there. I am an RNY patient about 4 1/2 years out. Started to have issues with food volume and feeling hungry. Doctor ordered an upper GI which indicated that the food is emptying out of my stomach very quickly. He states I am an excellent candidate for a revision and in fact he would like to make it a switch from RNY to "more like a DS". Aetna specifically states they will not pay for DS because it is considered "experimental". So my question is, I have federal Aetna insurance and was wondering if anyone out there has federal Aetna and if you've had any problems with getting revisions or DS surgeries approved?
