Has anyone ever had numbness or pain in the tops of their thighs after surgery?

I had my revision surgery on 11/29/10. The surgery lasted 7 hours. I noticed that after my surgery that my butt became very numb and the tops of thighs became very tight and painful. I asked my surgeon about it and he said something about the nerves in my thighs and I needed to walk. My PCP had me go for a doppler ultrasound of my legs last night. They said that everything looked alright. I never had this problem, when I had my RNY in 2003. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with this before. Lisa
