how do i get in enough protein without too much sugar?

first of all, i am 5 weeks post op and down 35 pounds. i have a very hard time getting in my protein. i am not hungry much. i absolutely can not do the protein shakes. they make me vomit instantly. i never drank milk or ate cottage cheese. this makes the matter so much worst. i eat alot of fruit. is this okay? please, help!
