Menstrual Cramps and Naproxen

Before surgery I was prescribed Anaprox (Naproxen) for period cramping. I know that I can't take that anymore. Has anyone been prescribed anything that we can take by their Gyno? I am going on the 29th and would like to know what to ask for if they don't know how to handle gastric bypass and medications that we can take.
