Aspirin

Has anyone Post RNY, had to take a regimen of aspirin, after vascular surgery, or taken Plavix, to prevent vascular surgery, if so how did that go for you? I know we're not supposed to take aspirin, so what does one do in a situation like this?? Thank you for your answers! :)
