Back pain lower left side?

I'm about 6 weeks post op (lap band) and am experiencing pain on my left side all the way around to my back. It almost feels like my insides are out of place and is exacerbated by walking and exercise. Is it normal to take this long for the post op pain to subside? I'm also having some pain at the port site too.
