Stomach hurts - maybe gas?

I'm 3 and a half weeks post-op from lap rny and I am getting what I think is gas pain in the middle of my chest. At least I hope that's all it is. The problem is that it hurts badly, and I can't tell what is causing it. It hurts whether I eat or not - sometimes hrs after I eat. Gas-X helps for about 30 minutes, but it comes back again and hurts just as bad. No problem with getting water and food down other than the pain. Anyone else gone through this and might have a solution? Thanks! Carol
