Is there a way to have a RNY and still take plavix and low dose asprin?

In the process of preparing for surgery I discovered that I had a blocked artery and a stent was put in. I was put on plavix and was told that it was important to take it for a year. I also take low dose asprin and have for several years. My surgeon for the WLS tells me that I am not a good canidate for the lap band because I am not a volume eater. With the lap band I could take the plavix and asprin. With the RNY I will not be able to take either. Do I have other options? I have been unsuccessful with other weight loss programs. Staying where I am does not sound good either. I have sleep apnea, diabetes and chronic muscle pain. Help!!!!!!
