What is your input VBG vs. Gastric Bypass

I went for my second Drs. visit today. They scheduled my surgery but I still don't know if my insurance is going to cover it or not. Anyway he seems to think that I will benefit from having VBG. I was wondering if someone wil let me know if they had this done and if your happy with it or would you have done Gastric Bypass instead! Any input would help at this point.
