Was denied referral to surgeon today. I need all the help I can get!

I was first told that the surgery was not specifically excluded and then later told it was. The exculsion says, "Surgical operations or procedures for correction of obesity including gastric stapling orballon procedures" I know the wording doesn't include "Morbid obesity". Also there is a clause in the policy that says they can decide to make an exception and approve a procedure that is excluded. Can I use that to work for me. I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks!
