Can you feel it when your staple line breaks down or pops?

Cansomeone who has had a staple line break down or disruption tell me if they had any pain or discomfort associated with it? I am 16 days post op and have cheated once or twice and now I am afraid that I have broken my staples! Is there any feeling or pain associated with this? If there is could you please describe it? Thank you!
