I have a related question to the one posted about weigh gain during that time.

To piggy back on a previous poster - to be more accurate, I try to weigh myself not around my monthly. As is typical with many, my symptoms start a week prior. I only weigh myself once a month, because I don't want to become obsessive about it. At what point should I weigh myself, though? How soon after your period does the water retention go away? Are there are general rules anyone is aware of? Thanks for your thoughts. (10 months post-op, down 96 pounds, open RNY) :)
