URGENT - Need info for friend scheduled for emergency revis.

A friend of mine is scheduled for an emergency revision in one week (9/15/00) due to a leak in her pouch and a resulting ulcer. She is getting very conflicting info from different doctors in the surgeon's practice, and is questioning having the revision done at all (which I can't think is a real option). If anyone has had this sort of revision done in the past 6 months to a year, specifically with Dr. Kane in Elk Grove Village, IL, please email me at the address below if you are willing to speak to her about what to expect. She does not have any sort of internet access, and would need to speak to someone on the phone. Her main concern is the doctor telling her she may possibly go home with a gastric tube (abdominal) for up to six weeks. Please help if you can - she is very worried and neither I nor her husband has the answers she needs right now.
