6 days Post-Op and I have a terrible sore throat, what can I do?

I'm still taking pain med which I hate, it's not really accomplishing anything at this point except making me feel woosie. Dr. just prescribed Amoxycillan(spelling)but it's only every 12 hours. My throat is killing me, any suggestions?
