Would She be a candidate for Roux-en-y? gastroplasty in 1986

My sister had an open gastroplasty done in 1986. She kept the weight off for about 12 years but has started to regain the weight very rapidly. Would she be a candidate for a roux-en-y? I am having my surgery on June 4th and she wanted me to ask if anybody that has had a gastroplasty in the past has had a roux-en-y later? Thank You for any information on this subject.
