3 Weeks Out- Pain after just a few bites, why?

Im 3 weeks post-op and every time I eat, even 2-4 tiny bites, I have to stop because I get a very sharp pain about 4 inches right of my belly button. Is this where my pouch is located? Could I have filled up that fast? Or is it simply gas, and if so how do I remedy it? Im afraid I may be losing weight too quickly because I cant eat. As a matter of fact, the only thing that doesnt hurt is broth.
