Can somebody tell me what this might be?

Hi everyone. I am wondering if anybody might know what this might be. I had transected Open RNY surgery on 9/6/02. About a week and a half ago, I started experiencing a wierd pain in my right side, right under my breast. If I'd move a certain way, it'll come at me really sharp and painful and BURN! It lasted only about 5 seconds and go away. I didn't have this pain everyday, some days worse than others,=. I had my 6 week checkup Nov.4 and I asked my surgeon what it might be and he said that it's muscle spasms. But today I woke up and I'm feeling (in the same spot) a different kind of pain. It's not just when I move a certain way, It's always. I mean I'm not screaming in pain, but it does hurt. I trust my surgeon, but I'm not the greatest at explaining things and I'm afraid that he may not have diagnosed this pain correctly. Does anybody know what this pain might be and should I be concerned?
