Is it ok to have a cortisone shot in hip 5 weeks post op?

Having a lot of pain because of inflamed bursa sack is ok to have cortisone shop after surgery. Also what kind of meds can I take for paine besides tylenol? rny-4/7/03.Sheri Carson
