What to do for muscle weakness?

I had surgery Tuesday, and did great by the way, but when I do my walking I am having muscle weakness. This began the day after I got home, so I don't feel that it is dehydration. However, in the hospital I had to have 2 bags of potassium. I am eating 1/2 to 1 banana daily and wondered if the potassium would have dropped so quickly, or is my body just adjusting to so much less food/calorie intake? The weakness stops me from walking before tiring out does. I am going to call my doctor, but I wanted all your opinions. By the way, as of yesterday, I've lost 8 pounds!
