I get frequent nausea, surgery 7/2/02

Could this be the 'stomach' flu, it has been coming and going for two weeks, i've had it before, drinking lots of pepto and chewing tums by the handfuls... very discomforting. My surgeons office refuses to believe it has anything to do with 'his' surgery. Any recommendations on nasea going away is really appreciated.
