Has any one else been told this.....?

I was told by my Dr. Office today that Cigna PPO is requiring a you on a supervised diet if any one else is having this problem please let me know how/what I can do to speed this up. I have already been to Dr. Moorehead and I had my sleep study and the other blood test. I don't want to have to wait a year to have a recent supervised diet to be able to have it done. I will if I have to but I don't understand when my BMI is at 55.8 and I have co-morbities. If anyone knows of a way to get through this please email me. Thanks Catherine
