Hey, all you Dr. Phillip Schauer patients...what do I expect from here?

I am having my first appt. with Dr. Schauer on Tuesday November 27th and it is a "group" type meeting. I am kinda curious about what to expect. He wants me to bring my folder and my insurance card with me. Will I know anything? I am told to expect to be there for at least 3 hours (ugh) but if it gets me on the surgery list, I will wait for 12!!!! Any pointers would be more than appreciated.
