What to Expect

I just recently visited a friend who had Lap RNY. She is only 6 days post op. Seems to be difficult to keep anything down. Is this normal for the first week after surgery. I am scheduled for about a week and just want to know what to expect the first couple of day. I know everyone is different but I just want to be prepared. Is the incisional pain secondary to other side effects. Could you please share the first couple of days with me. Thanks!
