Would you like to put your photos on the site?

First Step: Sign up to be a member - here's the link. Before we can help you furhter with this, you have to be a member.

Second Step:
Below are three categories. Please follow which one applies to you:

  1. I have photos posted on another web site.

If you have photos posted some place on the web that allows remote linking then you can link the photos yourself. To do this please go into your administrative control center and then click on the Profile Color and Photos link. You will see two sets of text entry boxes for Photo #1 and Photo #2. Photo #1 slot is commonly used for a Before photo and the Photo #2 slot is commonly used for an After photo.

URL: This is where you need to put in the URL to your photo. The URL is the address to where your photo is stored. Please note though that the photo must be online some where that allows remote linking. It can not be linked to some place on your computer, or only you will be able to see it. A hint to help you recognize whether or not your photos are on your computer or on a server is to check the address. Your URL should begin with "http://" instead of "C:\" and should end with something like .jpg, .gif, or .png instead of .html.

If you do not know how to get the URL of your photo, try putting your cursor over the photo and right clicking on your mouse, then select Properties. Selecting that option, should allow for you to see the URL to the photo. You can then use your cursor to highlight, and then copy and paste the photo address in.

Weight in Photo: If you want you can share your weight in this box.

Caption: You can type in a small comment about the photo in this box.

Once you are set on this, please click on the button that says Update My File. Once you do this, go back and view your profile. If it was done correctly you should now be able to see your photos. If you see a red X, then chances are the address is wrong or where you are linking to does now allow remote linking. If this is the case, you will need to either email us your photos and have us link them for you or you will need to find another place that allows remote linking.

  2. I have or can get my photos in digital file format.

You can email us your digital photos and we can help you get them onto the website. It is important that we have this information sent in correctly so that we can process the photos properly and make sure that the photos go on the right person's account.

When emailing in photos we ask that:
All pictures be in either jpg, gif, or bmp format. You can send them in as a zip file if you have several, that is not a problem. The photos or zip file need to be as an attachment. Please do not copy and paste of insert into the body of the email.
Include in the email your member name, member id number, and email address that are in conjunction with your profile.

  3. I have photo prints to mail to you.

For those of you with photo prints only, you can contact the Photo Department and request a mailing address to send your photos in so that they can be scanned and posted to the site. When you mail your photos in please include your member name, member id#, and email address as it appears on your profile. If you do not include this identifying information, we will be unable to post your photos to your profile. Also, please note if you want the photo prints back - please include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) so that the pictures will be sent back to you quickly and properly.
