Kim: Congratulations on your weight loss. 47 pounds is excellent. We all lose at our own rate. I am a "slow" loser I guess, I have lost about 53 pounds since 8/26/02. I feel like a brand new girl, and I know you do too. I have come to believe that our bodies are doing us a favor by not dropping tons of weight all at once. Your skin will love you for it! Keep up the good work. Our day will come! Hugs,

Hello! I am right there along with you. I have lost 23 pounds in five weeks. It is so easy to get discouraged, but I just keep reminding myself that means less loose skin and that it is healthier to lose slowly. We WILL lose and catch up with everyone else - just in our own time. Good luck to you! Jennifer Webb

KIMBERLY~~ HANG IN THERE~~ Remember to follow the basic rules:
PROTEIN FIRST
NO SNACKING
WATER, WATER, WATER
EXCERCISE
If you follow the rules, it will happen. Sorry that it's happening more slowly than you'd like. I know how frustrating it is, but hang in there.

Well, today is October 12, 2002, one day short of my one-month anniversary. I am sorry that I have been soooooooooo lazy and not updated my profile since my open RNY. All went well, and I am slowly getting back to normal. Throughout my hospital stay my pain never went above a 3 on a scale of 1-10. The most pain I had came from a severe headache and neck pain due to the tube during surgery. I also had some problems with my blood sugars going haywire (365 after sugery) but all seems back to normal. I would like to thank all of you wonderful people for signing my surgery page and sending warm thoughts and prayers my way. You are the greatest. I thank God for bringing me to this wonderful site and guiding me through surgery. I would like to send my prayers to all of you who are having surgery this next week.......May God Bless you and your family. May He keep His loving arms wrapped tightly around you, bringing you safely home. Love You All......Kimmie
