Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now for a little over a month – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)…Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly and take lots of pictures…the transformations will make your jaw drop!!! RNY 10/31/03 – down 97 pounds!!! Good luck!

Hey Jeanie! I know the fear your having. I was terrified of surgery. But I knew I would surely die without the proceedure. I was 57-1/2 years old last 10/17 when I had the Lap RXNY done at University of Chicago. I breezed through the proceedure and recovery. Was home in 3 days on pureeed 2 days post op. That is my surgeons philosophy and driving within 9 days and did just great. Have faith in God and know you will feel so much better. I am down 83 pounds and so happy and feel so great compared to preop weight of 296#. Best of luck to you! Linda

Hi Jeanie! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give our support, lend an ear and not judge.
