Hi Ruthel! Congrats on having your surgery! I bet you feel relieved now. It's over and now you are on the other side and can join the ranks of the losers. Welcome, my friend!!! Happy RE-Birthday to you! From this day forward you life will change forever. Just try to take it easy and remember to sip, walk, deep breathe and cough. These first few days are rough, but I assure you they get better with each passing day. Horrible news today! I am basically two weeks away from surgery and have been trying to get a hold of the lady at the hospital to find how much is due when. I knew I owed $5000 as I am a self-pay and that is what the hospital quoted me, however, the lady was on "vacation" and did not get back to me until today ( a week and a half later) in order to tell me that the hospital decided YESTERDAY that their flat rates would go up. I reminded her that she should have messages from me from over a week ago and that if she would have responded then, this would not have affected me. I feel that they should grandfather me in as that is what the doctor quoted me and it is not my fault no one would return calls. I am so upset I can't stop crying. Now she won't call me back to tell me how much it is going to go up. I am using my inheritance on this and I don't know if I will have enough money to do this!

Congratulations on your surgery date! I have some Zen Wisdom for you - Nothing exists but momentarily...One thing flows into another...observe things as they are, let everything go as it goes. This is to put everything under control in its widest sense. --- May God keep you close to his side as you travel your new journey. You will have ups and downs. You can always turn to us, your AMOS family, we will give support, comfort and encouragement. You will find this will be the best thing you could ever have done for yourself as well as your family. I know that was true for me. Keep us posted when you reach the "other" side. I pray for a speedy and easy recovery for you. Don’t forget to update your profile at least monthly. We all like to see how we are doing!!! Make sure you take pictures. It’s great to see the new you emerge!!! Hi Ruthel! Big congratulations on your surgery date! I bet you are so excited! Just hang in there and try to be patient! Don’t worry if you are nervous, scared, excited or go through a thousand of different emotions. This is all normal, so go with the flow! There’s really nothing you can do with the all those feelings surfacing. You may start to doubt yourself and question your decision to have surgery. Just about everyone has had this happen to them. You’re making a decision to have a better quality of life and YOU deserve it!! That gut feeling or that little voice inside lets you know that you’re doing the right thing! Remember that we’re all family here and we’re here to give you our support, lend an ear and not judge. There are lots of us who have had surgery and are in your corner rooting for you!!
