Dear Shari~~~I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery and a safe and speedy recovery. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and guide your surgeon. I had an open DS done just about a year ago; surgery and recovery went extremely well. I would do it again in a NOO YAWK minute. Be well. Lorraine
