Boy Howdy! Tomorrow is my 35th birthday and I feel like a teenager again...New hair, new glasses, new body, new clothes...I feel like I'm finally "in style". 15 more lbs and I'm in the Century Club! Down 85 lbs! YIPPEE! 5 months post op and still doing great! Love life! It's a joyous frustration to buy clothes and come home to find they are too big for a change. Went from 26/3X to a range of 14 to 18 and Large. My eyes still see bigger than my body actually is these days. To those waiting on approvals, hang in there...Victory day comes! the days only get better!

POST OP UPDATE: Well, I've hit a small plateau...4 months out..but I'm not done yet..still doing great..I'm down 73 lbs...@ 202 now...Just 27 more lbs and I can post photos in the before/after gallery..I love life! I have more energy...one day last week I was feeling so tired (busy busy now)...and then went upstairs to change out the laundry..came back down and got a surge of energy...walked right back up stairs and down and up and down...about 5 times. Then, started using the first stair as a stair stepper thing, then jogged for another 20 minutes...wow. My husband couldn't believe it either! Pre-op, I dreaded walking once up or down the stairs. Now, no big deal at all! I'm in a size 18 now! Started at 26 some 28's...I tried on my wedding dress recently and it's a little loose (got married 10 years ago). My face has changed so much--I lost a few chins...it's really thinning out. I can see my neck now and actually feel my clavicle and see a slight indent of it on my upper chest. I wear my wedding ring again! My arms are thinner too (lower), still gotta work on those upper arms..but that's what sleeves are for--cover it up! LOL! Well, I'm rambling. If you want to know more or have concerns about the surgery, feel free to email me! I am definitely a supporter of this procedure! Oh, and I still love food, just less of it and the right kind now. I do not feel deprived at all! God is GOOOD!

hello all...it's been a while since i posted...i've tried not to stay glued to my computer lately..i've become a kitchen freak...i hate it messy now! but, good news...i'm 23 days post-op and down.....drum roll please.....30 lbs! I never thought I would see the day...I still feel great..having trouble with my protein powder..it's nasty. but, i'll endure. Dr. Mayer changed my life!

I do want to take a moment to especially thank Jennifer Hughes in Fairbanks. Jennifer was soooo wonderful and opened up her home for us to stay when our original plans fell through. Kris Jenkins--thanks for lining me up with Jenn and being my page updater!! Holly...my Angel, my neighbor...I'm sure you would rather be home but I was glad to have my angel checking on me and walking the halls with! My friend Rhonda who took care of my munchkins on surgery day..God is good and he works everything out for good! And all the wonderful folks I met at the Fairbanks support meeting. This is an awesome group of people. I wish all continued success on this road! Love and blessings to you all!

YIPPEE! It's me from the losing side! the surgery was splendid (after the first day of course). Dr. Mayer did a superb job! it was a little longer than expected...i had a lot (A LOT) of scar tissue from previous surgeries that he had to work with. But, he was able to do it LAP! I passed my leak tests and have graduated to purees...oh by the way....I'm HOME! He commended me on how great I was doing and I in turn commended him on doing the great job! I'm sore most of the time like I did a 100 situps (like i never did that--but that must be what it feels like). ***I want to thank EVERYONE who signed my page and sent me lots of love and prayers!!! I was almost in tears when I saw all the posts.....it would take a few days to respond to all personally...so I hope you don't mind that I take the most immediate method and say thanks here! I haven't stepped on a scale yet and probably won't until my check up...i want to give it time to see results.
