Becky -- 30LBS IN 3 WEEKS - HOT DARN!!! I am so happy and proud of you - keep up the good work - what ever you're doing is working. I go Jan.6th for my second opinion for my Psych Eval - a Dr. Williams of Swartz Creek. Hopefully after that I'll be moving again towards my goal. So happy that your surgery went well and you liked the Dr. and Hospital. I know there's a room there with my name on it!! God Bless you - Sally

It's been 3 weeks since my surgery, and I'm down 30 pounds!! I cannot say enough about my surgeon, Dr. Obeid. He's the best! I swear he talked to my husband more than he did me but I was kind of out of it most the time anyway, and I'm glad he did that because my husband kept me updated. The only real problem I had was the NG tube - the worst part of the whole experience! I ended up with a bronchial infection in the hospital and was coughing so hard (not good!) I couldn't talk and with the tube in there, it made it worse. So for 2 weeks afterwards, I had a hard time sleeping. I did have a nurse suggest a humidifier in my room and that helped a lot. Two weeks post op I developed pain under my ribs, but one week later it is gone. That's why this board is so helpful! I went into the library and found questions about pain, and found that I wasn't the only one having the same problem. Thank God for this web site and for the entire AMOS family. I am so thankful for all the emails sent to me prior to my surgery too - really kept my spirits up!

I too have Hurley Hosp. - so I'd be interested in hearing your opinions. But I have Dr. Dabideen and my surgery is still months away - I can't wait. Love, Sally, Harrison, MI
