	*11/28/2006 04:53 PM* ~~ UPDATE ON GAIL ~~ Hi everyone... I just off the phone with Gail ... she got released from the hospital a little while ago... and is now back home. She is doing much better... they were able to finally get her nausea under better control so she is not so nausiated. Because of not being able to eat and drink.. her potassium ended up being real low, so they have that taken care of now.. they also gave her vitamin IV therapy too. Gail seems to be in much better spirits now and is prayfully on the mend... please continue to pray for her that her incision will start to heal up... she is 5 weeks post-op... and it is yet to start healing... so let's keep her in our prayers.. thanks everyone. 	*11/27/2006 06:44 AM* Gail, My prayers are with you. I had my surgery on Oct.17th was in hospital 2 weeks had 5 units of blood and sent home on TPN .I go back to Doc today and get drain out. I have been nauseated also.Although it is nothing like you have been going through God has seen me through it and it will see you through your troubles. 	*11/26/2006 05:55 PM* Hi Gail, I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through so much distress. I don't know the details, but I read that you were very nauseated. I too had a lot of trouble with nausea about two weeks after my surgery. I couldn't tolerate anything. My surgeon said he might have to admit me to the hospital but it finally got better. He did a CT scan to make sure my surgery was OK and it was. The nausea was awful. It finally got better after a couple of weeks. I pray that your nausea clears up and that your incision heals. I will check on your progress and hope you'll be writing on here soon. — LindaDLA

This is just a short term set back for a long term better life, please keep telling yourself that, ok. We missed each other in St. Vs, I just got out on Thanksgiving morn. Had to return Mon. the 20th after my surgery on the 14th. I had a large bowel bleed, talk about being weak as a kitten, that was me. Nurse said I lost 1/3 of my blood supply and now I am anemic and have to take Repliva, these pills are huge. I have to crush them taste terrible! So I am back home now and trying to regain my strength. I met Becky in admissions at St. V's and she said she had a bleed at her pouch area when she had her surgery for me to hang in there. I just got off the phone with my dear friend Gail and she is not feeling any better today... she is staying constantly nausiated even with prescribed anti-nausia meds. Her surgeon is out of town, they one she just saw was the on-call. Her regular surgeon was on vacation and should be back in the office tomorrow she is thinking. She is going to call him tomorrow. I told her I think she needs to go back to the hospital because she cannot keep anything at all down, not even water. Her open RNY incision is not looking any better, still not healing, and still oozing like crazy. Please pray for God to give her all the strength she needs to get through this bump in the road and that she will be on the road to recovery!! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. I had to be tube fed into my old stomach for the first 8 weeks and had have the incision packed for 3 months. I am down 173 pounds now and would do it all over again. She had open RNY and her incision is not healing up "at all" ... she said it just keeps leaking and oozing all over the place real bad - like spills. She is unable to keep anything down. Your big day is almost here, this is the day, your new life will begin, I cant promise it will be easy, cant say it will be hard, I can say that with all the complications and everything I had to go through, It was well worth it. I have never felt better in yearsss, I’m off all medications, have sooooo much more energy. So if you hit a bump in the road, hang in there and remember it will alll be worth it in the long run.
