Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I tried everything (like most of you) Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, counting calories, liquid diets, Richard Simmons Dial-a-meal, Shots, OTC Drugs and so many other things... I had so much to loose that I'd get discouraged when nobody noticed... I had RNY on 8-22-2002 and lost 248 lbs and felt wonderful... Over the years (and after a Hysterectomy) I've gained some weight back and now I'm on a mission to get it back off.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Not being able to do what I wanted to do or try because of my weight.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I enjoy so many things now that I never even knew I'd like like Dancing, Enjoying walking, Fishing, working in my yard, shopping for clothes, Shopping for anything... lol! Going on Vacation with my sweetie... Oh, having a sweetie!!! I used to love doing crafts, I still do but now I enjoy being out and doing stuff more... So much more that I can't think of right now! 8 )
