Obesity & Me

Describe your behavioral and emotional battle with weight control before learning about bariatric surgery.

I have always been if the more to love variety. I don't remember a time where my weight hasn't been an issue for me.

What was (is) the worst thing about being overweight?

Where do I start... Honestly not being able to keep up with my 2 year old is at the top of my list, followed closely by sweating right after I get out if the shower while getting dressed, that's real fun... OH and there's the being out if breath constantly bit too. There are so many other things. I'm in a fat suit that I can't take off.

If you have had weight loss surgery already, what things do you most enjoy doing now that you weren't able to do before?

I haven't had the surgery yet. I'm doing the required steps for that now. It's going to take a while yet but I'm in this for keeps. UPDATE!! I had the RNY on 9/25/2013... Three and a half weeks post op and ive gained weight.. Im figuring its water weight and the dreaded 3 week stall... Its not a myth.. lol So far ive lost 30 -36 lbs
