MGH Weight Center Bariatric Center

The MGH Weight Center surgeons perform a high volume of weight-loss surgeries every year and consistently achieve excellent outcomes. Each is a board-certified, Harvard Medical School-affiliated surgeon with advanced training and a highly focused clinical practice who specializes in treating patients with complex medical disorders related to obesity. The MGH Surgical Program has been accredited as a Level 1A Center by the American College of Surgeons Bariatric Center Network which “accredits facilities in the United States that have undergone an independent, voluntary and rigorous peer evaluation in accordance with nationally recognized bariatric surgical standards.” We are very proud that our program was one of the first programs in the country to receive such accreditation and are revisited and reaccredited every three years.
