  • About Me

Dr. Bedrosian is a minimally invasive surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopy, bariatrics, and general surgery.  She is a native New Yorker who graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences and art history.  She completed medical school and general surgery residency training at New York University, whose prestigious surgical training program provided intense exposure to a broad spectrum of disease in the most diverse population in the country.  Inspired by master laparoscopic surgeons throughout her career, Dr. Bedrosian practices under the tenet that most surgical problems can be addressed using small incisions, resulting in less pain and faster recovery compared to traditional surgery.  She believes in approaching each patient as a whole person, and that a medical problem is much more than a solitary physiologic issue.   With an eye toward technically and cosmetically superlative results, she is dedicated to developing patient-doctor relationships based on trust, communication, and education.

As assistant professor of surgery at NYU Langone Medical Center and a member of the NYU Weight Management Program, Dr. Bedrosian is actively involved in bariatric surgery research.  She is also devoted to resident surgical education and making sure that the next generation of surgeons is even better trained than the last.
