Dennis C. Smith, Jr. Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

Dr. Smith is a board-certified bariatric surgeon and fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He brings more than two decades of surgical experience and diverse medical training to his patients and their caregivers. Previously, Dr. Smith served as medical director of the bariatric surgery program at WellStar Comprehensive Bariatric Services in Marietta, Georgia. During his career, Dr. Smith has been awarded an array of medical honors and distinctions for his impeccable ethics and surgical expertise. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Alabama Hospital.
