Dr. Cox is a very professional! He in no way shape or form makes you feel like that a failure for not loosing the weight on your own. Over time my confedince has grown in the surgeon I have chosen. His staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable about the whole process. They are making this whole life chaning experince to be a great one! They answer all your questions truthfully. One thing that I didn't like about this process is abo8ut how long it takes to get through. But know that I am nearing my surgury date I am finding every step helpful and useful! So people who choose to use Hickory Surgical Weightloss Clinic be patient it is worth it. They care about your whole beeing not just your wallet! They take care of you well before and after! He informs you of all the risks that can happen before and after. I would reccomend this wieghtloss program to anyone who is interested. They are so well informed and caring for there patients!

First off, I work in the OR as a Surgical Technologist and have worked with Dr. Cox before beginning my process with WLS. He is a fun guy and a great surgeon, so I didn't have any second thoughts about picking him.The office team is wonderful and can answer most questions for me...I truely believe that Dr. Cox cares for all of his patients, However; the weight loss patients seem so special to him...

April 20, 2004 Meet with Dr Cox today for my physical. He was very informative and professional. I am looking forward to working with him.

I really liked Dr. Cox after my first visit. He seems to be a genuinely caring person and wants to help those like myself. He was very thorough and asked me several times if I had any questions. He called my neurologist to discuss my condition with M.S. I really did appreciate that and felt like he really was concerned with my well-being with the surgery. I have confidence in Dr. Cox and am looking forward to having my surgery and looking forward to a healthier me. The office staff at Hickory Surgical are all very kind and caring people. They also have a lot of patience considering how many calls I made to the office. Lisa Craig takes care of all the insurance side of it. She submits the request for approval to the insurance company. She is a very professional and efficient person. She has been very nice and considerate. The aftercare program is thorough and I feel confident I will be well taken care of. When I went to the hospital for my pre-op tests, everyone I encountered was very friendly. The persons doing my tests were very nice and very professional.

Dr. Cox did a wonderful job with my surgery. He is very supportive and a caring person. I am very thankful for his ability to perform this kind of surgery for people like myself who desperately need it.

He was very friendly and warm. He answered all my questions and then some. Dr. Cox also said to call if any other questions came up!
Dr. Cox was very good at explaining the procedure, the aftercare and all the risks. I am very impressed! I will see if my feelings were right after I have surgery!

Dr. Cox was a very nice and intelligent physican. He was very down to earth and answered all of my questions. He seemed very intrested in my sucess and helping me. I really enjoyed the fact that he talked with myself and my husband.

Dr. Cox and Dr. Cook and thier program are fantastic. Their staff is wonderfully kind and warm hearted. I enjoyed the group meeting and it was very informative. I learned alot, although I knew alot already. I have thought about it alot and prayed about it alot and i believe that God sent me to Dr. Cox for a reason, that he and his wonderful staff are to be the ones to guide me through this journey.
