Dr. Pecquex is an awesome physician. She is smart and very personable. She wants to get to know you and what your needs are. She explains in simple language what to expect from the surgery in the immediate future and in several years. She will also go over what happens at the hospital and the days just after the operation. rnShe does have a highly structured before and aftercare program.rnRisks are addressed by giving you a binder that has all the information about pretests, basic nutrition, post-op nutrition, all the diet stages, staff contact numbers, articles, and all the potential risks/complications. Then when you see her she explains them all and the treatment which would be done if anything occured. Then you sign a form that you have received this information.rn I believe surgical competance is a huge part but at the bedside or in the office after is where the doctor needs to see other signs and symptoms that the patient will be telling them about.rnDr. Pecquex is excellent as surgeon and clinician. I recommend her highly. These have been my personal impressions of her as my surgeon.

Well, I had my surgery on 6/4/07. I first met Dr. Pequex about 1 yr ago at a seminar for the lap band. I was very impressed with her and her staff. Earlier this year I decided I was ready to have the surgery. Suzie in Dr. Pequex's office walked me through all the pretesting that needed to be done. They are very strict but it is for your own good. I finally met the doctor about 1 month prior to surgery. She was extremely helpful in making that final decision. She explains EVERYTHING to you. She doesnt leave anything out. Surgery went very well with no complications. The nurses in every phase postop were awsome. I could not have asked for better. The med students are extremely interested in this surgery. I say the doctor later that day and the morning of my discharge. I had my first fill on 7/24/07. Was very nervous but she put me at ease. So far down about 30 lbs. Highly recommend the surgery, Dr. Pecquex and the hospital. I could not have asked for better people to help me make this life changing decision.

Nicole Pecquex and the staff at St.Elizabeth's Hospital couldn't have been more supportive!! They all take the time and care to make sure that you are well aware of what to expect! All aspects of the surgery is fully explained and you always feel comfortable to call or ask questions at any time!! The program is so complete down to the after surgery care I got from the ICU surgical staff! You are never made to feel uncomfortable for being a larger size person, the focus is always on making you well!! thanks to all for the support

My first impression of Dr. Pecquex was that she was pleasant and knowledgable. Over time this impression turned into absolute acceptance that she was indeed very knowledgable as well as easy to talk to and she has a nice sense of humor and is always pleasant to be around.

I met with her three times prior to surgery and every day that I was in the hospital. She was on a well earned vacation when my first post-op visit was scheduled,so I met with Dr. Kevin O'Donnell (who I met on the day of surgery and again during my stay in the hospital). I have been meeting with Dr. O'Donnell ever since for my post-op visits and have found him to be just as compent, easy to talk to, and caring as Dr. Pecquex.

The office staff could not be more helpful. They all get three stars from me.

Dr. Pecquex is on the cutting edge of gastric bypass surgery. The protocals that she and her team have in place are designed to safeguard the patients and to minimize risks. The aftercare program that is in place at the Weight Loss Center are excellent and she is fully behind it.

Any and all surgery risks are explained in detail and I felt that the decisions that I was making were fully informed decisions.

I would give Dr. Pecquex an excellent +++ rating. She is not only competent in the OR, but she has a great bedside manner, and cares about you as her patient.

The first time I met Dr. Pecquex was at a support group meeting and found her to be extremely educated about WLS. I was amazed at how she interacted with all of the people who had the surgery and how she always stressed that if you have any problems or any questions to make sure you call. She thinks of her patients first and herself last.

When I had my first one on one with her, I found her to be really great. I love her sense of humor. She tells you like it is, but in a compassionate way. She knows how the program goes and she wants what is best for you. Dr. Pecquex wants people to succeed and therefore, you strive hard to do what you have to do.

I'd recommend Dr. Pecquex to anyone thinking of having WLS or having any other types of surgeries she deals with. In my eyes, she's the best there is.
