Steven Patching Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.

Steven Patching, M.D. has been in private practice in Sacramento since 1985. He attended the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. After graduating, he remained in Sacramento for his surgical residency at the UC Davis Medical Center, with a year of research in surgical nutrition and the treatment of shock. He has lectured both nationally and internationally, and has published numerous articles on minimally invasive surgery. He also has served as course director at the Sutter Institute of Medical Research as an instructor of minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Patching received his training in bariatric surgery at the UC Davis Medical Center. He has successfully participated in the preceptorship sponsored by the American Society for Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Patching is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), and the UC Davis Surgical Society.
