My first impression of Dr. Curry was that he was very "down to earth". He and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Still early in my journey to have a least like about him yet. He explains the surgery in great detail and does it so that you understand exactly what will happen and what to expect. His beside manner is what sets him apart from other surgeons, but both his competence and manner are great.
As of right now I rate him a 10 on a scale of 1-10.

My mother and I went in for our first consult w/Dr. Curry. He was very friendly and informative. I was looking for a physician that had good bedside manner and a good/experienced surgeon and I was lucky to find both in Dr. Curry.

Trace Curry had been formerly in Greenville, OH at Wayne Hospital and I had heard pros and cons. I never use that to make a decision so I called for an appointment and I loved him! He has such personnality and cared about this type of surgery. He decided to move to a bigger city and I can not blame him. I have seen him since he moved. His staff in Cincinnati are so friendly and caring. He truly found his nitch in life. I am anxious to see his completed facility.

Even though he left our local hospital, they are still allowing us to see the dietician and to have support group. We hope we can continue the support here. If not, I know we are all welcome to travel to Cincinnati once a month for Trace Curry's support meetings.

I highly recommend him as a surgeon and a caring man.

He gave us a book and I use it still today for guideance.

Dr. Curry comes home once in awhile and I look forward to seeing him at our county fair.

Dr. Curry gets an A+++ from me!

I have not met with this doctor yet however he replyed to a post I put on the Ohio message board and I was so happy..I feel like he was sent to save me.
I called his office and let me tell you his staff is sooooooooooo cool....nothing like the other places I have called.....they sound as though they care and they listen and they seem concerned and understanding.
Great place will say more when I meet them..
well I had my consult and he is great. he is everything everyone says he is. I am very happy and I am so confident about my decision. God has sent me an angel.

My first impression of Dr. Curry was nice. I know that's a pretty lame description, but that's how I felt. I got the impression he was holding back. Maybe he doesn't like to get too involved untill he KNOWS it's a go! However, everyone seemed well informed and personable. The before AND after care seems seems well structured. I could see the potential!! I can't wait to continue on this journey....See ya' soon Kathy and Erin!!!

My husband and I had a consult with Dr. Curry on 6/3/04. We first ment with Erin, the dietician. She was very informative. We spent about an hour with her discussing nutrition. We then met with Dr. Curry. He seemed very knowledgeable. He explained the procedure and the risks associated with this surgery. We didn't feel rushed at all. We probably spent about an hour with him also. He was very patient with us. So far, Dr. Curry and his staff have been wonderful!

I had my original consult on February 10, 2004 with Dr. Adolph at the BTC in Groveport, Ohio. I was late for the appointment because I got lost (my fault) and although having to wait for about 40 minutes after I arrived, I figured it was a small price to pay for being late myself. The staff was wonderful and Dr. Adolph was very knowledgeable and helpful as well as understanding. He explained everything, answered all of my questions and on a scale from 1-10, I'd have to rate him a 10+.

I have since decided to go with Dr. Curry in Cincinnati. Read in my profile above the reason. I REALLY like Dr. Curry. He made me feel comfortable and he is extremely knowledgeable. His staff is top notch.

My first impression of Dr. Curry was that he was laid back and made me feel comfortable. He took his time and explained the procedure without being in a rush. He is confident and speaks to you directly so that you can understand. If you're looking for a surgeon that knows his field then Dr. Curry is the man for the job.He has a structured aftercare program that I will be involved with on a regular basis.

After dealing with another doc for over a year, I switched to Dr. Curry about 3 weeks ago. Dr. Curry is great, I met him for my consult last week. My problem is with Medical Mutual. Aftr a YEAR of excuses from Med Mutual (misplaced paperwork, lost psych evaluation, etc) Medical Mutual says that I don't meet the criteria for this surgery. I am 5'7 and weigh 243 (39BMI) with comorbidities..bad knees and legs. My ortho doc has written 2 letters to the insurance company saying that if I have the bariatric surgery, I will be able to avoid knee surgery/knee replacement. I have been denied again because they want a new psych evaluation, saying that the one done in December is not recent enough, yet when the psych eval was sent back in Dec, Medical Mutual lost it. Why should I have to go throught another psych eval when it was Med Mutuals fault in the first place?? And, oh yes, they say that my coverage only allows for 1 psych evaluation a year, and they will NOT cover the new exam. This has been a wasted year for me..This will be my last post ever, I am giving up on having this surgery. Medical Mutual will not cover this surgery, but if I use diet drugs, and I develop heart problems...they will cover that! Ironic isn't it? I guess I didn't play the game well enough.
