Catherine Fore, RD, LDN, CNSC brings almost 10 years of experience in clinical nutrition and dietetics to the Bariatric team, including 5 years as a nutrition support dietitian (CNSD) and 4 years as an outpatient dietitian, specializing in medical and surgical weight management. In her 7 years at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Catherine worked in a variety of clinic settings, including infectious disease, cardiac rehabilitation, and otolaryngology. Catherine is a Certified Adult Weight Management Specialist with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Catherine earned undergraduate degrees in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University and Food Science and Nutrition from Clemson University. She completed her dietetic internship with Sodexo Health Care Services, including clinical rotations at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Areas of particular interest to Catherine are vitamin and mineral requirements accompanying bariatric surgery, especially thiamine, niacin, and copper. Catherine also enjoys assisting patients with meal planning and time management.
