Leport, MDMedical Director Bariatric and General Surgery Dr. Leport is the Medical Director of Surgical Weight Loss at FVRH. He is a board-certified General Surgeon in private practice in Orange County, California for over 25 years. He received his medical degree and surgical training in Brooklyn, New York, at Downstate Medical College, where he was an Assistant Professor of Surgery for two years prior to moving to California. He is a member of the Faculty of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons.   Mir B. Ali, MDBariatric and General Surgery Dr. Ali received his Medical Degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. His internship was completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California and his surgical residency was at National Naval Medical Center in Bethseda, Maryland. Dr. Ali is board certified by the American Board of Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons.   Dr. Michael Russo, MD Bariatric and General Surgery Dr. Russo earned his medical degree from the University Of Toledo College Of Medicine, and then completed a surgical internship, surgical research fellowship, and general surgical residency at the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. He continued his education with advanced training in bariatric, minimally invasive, and robotic surgery in the prestigious fellowship program at Stanford Hospital & Clinics, where he was also a faculty surgeon. Dr. Russo is a board certified and fellowship-trained bariatric, gastroesophageal and general surgeon and a candidate member of the American College of Surgeons, Association for Surgical Education, American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).   Kelly Francis, MD Bariatric and General Surgery Dr. Francis is a specialist in Bariatric and General Surgery and board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Francis did her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her General Surgery residency was completed at Tulane University in Nashville, Tennessee. She also completed her fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles, California. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY and Wayne State University in Pontiac, MI. Pham, MD General and Bariatric Surgery Dr. Pham received his medical degree from the University of California San Diego Medical School in California. His completed his general surgery residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at USC. Dr. Pham is board certified in General Surgery and is a Member of the American College of Surgeons and an Affiliate Surgeon Member of the American Society for Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery.   John L. Coon MD FACS General and Bariatric Surgery Dr. Coon is a board-certified general surgeon who received his medical degree from the University of Illinois Medical School. His residency in general surgery was completed at the University of New Mexico. He also completed a fellowship in Burn and Trauma Surgery at the University of Southern California and a Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Parkview Hospital Medical Center in Riverside, California.
