Jared Umland Physician Assistant (PA) PA-C

Jared Umland is a certified physician assistant, licensed in South Carolina with experience in both bariatric and general surgery. Before joining East Cooper's Bariatric Surgery Department in 2019, he worked for two years in bariatric and general surgery in Little Rock, Arkansas. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Central Arkansas where he received a B.S. in biology followed by his Master's Degree at Bethel University's PA program in Paris, TN.  Jared strives to bring high quality compassionate care to bariatric patients at East Cooper. He is excited to have moved to the Charleston area and looks forward to becoming involved in the local community. When not in the office you may find Jared watching sports at a local venue or spending time with friends and family. He is a huge college football and NFL fan and knows a statistic about almost anything football related.
