Brian Showalter Plastic Surgeon MD, FACS

Dr. Showalter is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He is a native of the Shenandoah Valley and completed his undergraduate education at the University of Virginia. He then earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond graduating as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. He went on to complete a six year residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem, NC, where he also authored several publications and was involved in research that he has presented at state, national, and international venues. Dr. Showalter is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He now lives in Charlottesville with his wife, Danielle. He provides a broad range of aesthetic and reconstructive services with particular interests in breast reconstruction, Mohs reconstruction, complex wound management, facial aesthetics, cosmetic breast surgery, and body contouring procedures. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, their dog Sophie, and family. He also enjoys reading, hiking, and winter sports.
