Jeffrey Umansky, MD, FACS, graduated from the University of California, Berkeley as a member of Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of California, Los Angeles. As a graduating medical student, he was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, an honor awarded to only the top medical students across the country.
Dr. Umansky completed his General Surgery training at the UC Irvine Medical Center. He then trained in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic, Florida. He went on to fellowship train in Cosmetic Surgery at the Boston Center for Ambulatory Surgery in Massachusetts. Dr. Umansky is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABS), a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and the current President of the San Diego Society of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Umansky has privileges at several hospitals, including Scripps La Jolla and Rady’s Children’s Hospital. He is a volunteer clinical professor for the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Plastic Surgery program. He also participates as a member of Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and the Mercy Outreach Surgical Team (MOST) providing free surgeries to underprivileged children.
Dr. Jeffrey Umansky has extensive training in all aspects of Plastic Surgery. He performs cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face, breast, abdomen, as well as the rest of the body and post weight loss body contouring procedures. As a fully trained Plastic Surgeon, he has an appreciation for the intricate anatomy of the human body and the effects of procedures that alter one’s image. He believes in a conservative approach that brings natural changes providing a more youthful, rejuvenated look.
Philanthropy is a very important part of Dr. Umansky’s medical career. He has traveled to Mexico several times to perform cleft lip and palate surgeries with Mercy Outreach Surgical Team. He also sits on the board of Fresh Start Surgical Gifts and is part of the team providing free surgeries to underprivileged children at Rady’s Children’s Hospital. He was recently awarded the 2018 Humanitarian of the Year, by the PCRF.
