Hello Jan.2004 surgery friends, The question of the day is: What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Are you planning a gathering or going anywhere interesting? Well as for my daughter and I , We will probably go to my sisters house for dinner. I will probably make my famous candied yams. We will watch some movies or maybe go to the movies? not sure, but I know its around the corner. Jeannie

Patricia, That is a great idea, My daughter would appreciate a college education too. After buying a ranch, there would be some $$ left over, for her education, thats why I would have to work, after taxes there won't be too much left. My son won $10,000 on a scratcher and after taxes he brought home $7500.00, they do take a lot out. So imagine how much they would take out of a million dollars. But hey I would'nt mind it at all. Invest for my child's college education. Hubby and I would go back to college to study things that interested us so that we can work in areas that give us joy. I would go to school part time and spend the rest of my time parenting. Then I would find a good place to settle down and purchase a home similar to my current house, but one with a basement! Patty

Joel, I had my surgery on 1/12/04 and weighed in at 341.4 lbs. These past two months I have hardly lost a thing. I went down to 199lbs last week and ate myself to 205 and now weigh in at 200.5 again. I am freaking out because I have been finding myself reverting back to bad behaviors again. That is why I needed to come to this site tonight. Keep posting and reaching out for support and know that you are not alone. Patty 341/200.5/165

Joel, You are doing extremely well, just stay away from the devil (sugar) & you will be fine. I try to do everything sugar free, even yogurt ice cream will come in sugar free. Yummy that does sound good, damn I'm gonna have to drive to town & get me a scoup. see what you started Joel. LOL Jeannie

Well Joel , You are doing very well then, you must look awesome!, I would be happy being your height, with that weight. Too thin would make you look awfully thin. Too thin is not very attractive! Good Job Joel Jeannie

I have found the hunger is back and I have to watch myself from snacking (especially at work) I am staying away from sugars, and high fat foods. Lots of cheese, peanuts, fruit, yogert and protien bars. I do occasionally eat Wendy's chicken select strips. Love Chili too.

You just won 1 million dollars, what would you do with it? I would figure out where I truely want to live, buy a ranch with some acreage for my two and I would want to continue to work, but maybe from home this time. Jeannie
