Topic: RE: hows everyone doing at 6 months out!
I had my 6 month check up on the 19th even though I won't "officially" be 6 months until the 30th. I am down a total of 66 pounds on the 19th. I started at 240 and am now 170 as of yesterday. That is a total of 70 pounds. I feel incredible and I am learning how to rollerblade with my kids. This surgery made a new life possible and I am forever greatful. Tracy

O.K. I thought i would share this with anyone interested in hair loss. Everytime i brush my hair, the WHOLE bottom of the brush is just covered in my hair. EVeryday, everytime. It was freaking me out a little. any way, my neice gave me some conditioner that cancer patients use called Nioxin. After ONE use, i brushed my hair and had 3/4's less hair in my brush i went from the whole brush being full to just a few hairs at the bottom, this is so exciting. Try this. I hope it works for someone. michelle

I am not kidding after ONE use, my brush was 3/4 less full of hair. It was unbelievable. try it. good luck. michelle

Well it's been 6 months for me the 19th. I have lost a total of 130 lbs and I have never felt better in my life. If I had to do it again I would. This website has been the best the support is so great. There are so many people that depend on this, and I'm one of them I would not have made it this far without. I want to thank everyone that has shared their problems, their happiness along with their accomplishment. Keep up the good work everybody!!!!!!

Topic: RE: Have any of you encountered anybody that regretted having surgery?
I don't know anyone who has regretted doing the surgery, but my heart goes out to you, because you are celebrating the life you now have, yet part of you feels bad for your patient. It is obvious that she was not prepared for the life changes ahead of her...that is why the evaluations and preparations are so important. You are very much on the right track...telling her to give it time is the only advise that is sound...however, she might want to visit with a counselor or someone and talk about the the things that are bothering her most about the surgery...I feel that if she had had to wait like most of us had, for approvals or what ever, maybe the things that are bothering her would have been more evident.

I had surgery Jan 12th and have lost 90 lbs so far. I am still having trouble eating meats! I have lost about half of my hair as well (didn't have that much to begin with) but I bought a hair peice that makes it look like I have it in a pony tail. I have gone from a size 24-26 to a size 12 in just six months! I never thought life could be so great! Congrats to all that love themselves enough to take this risk, enjoy the rest of your life! C-Ya! Wanda -90 P S I will post a new Pic ASAP!!!
