Well people, like most of you I am at 5 months TODAY! I have lost a total of 61 pounds! Thank you for listening. I was wondering how the rest of you are doing. I began at 240. Does anyone have a similar starting weight and how much have you lost so far? Tracy

The cottage cheese test is a technique that was presented at the June 2000 meeting of the ASBS (and many times before that) by Latham Flanagan, MD (website is at The Oregon Center for Bariatric Surgery). It is meant to be a standardized, reproducible measurement of the physical size of the stomach pouch in a person who has undergone a gastric bypass procedure. It is suggested that the Cottage Cheese Test be performed at 3 months, 6 months, 1 year and yearly thereafter

Is anyone taking biotin supplement? I just read alot of the need for WLS people to take biotin supplements but how does it come and how do we take it and I heard it helps with hair loss but does it help with anything else? I have alot of questions , hope some of my Jan. people can help Alberto

JANURAY 14TH WAS MY SURGERY I have lost 100 pds since Jan.I was 245 now 145.Was size 24 now 8 and some 6s.Consulted with ps on hernia repair and tt.Waiting to hear from insurance.Like to lose 15 more pds ,possibly breast augmented then stop.Your doing great!

Hi Alberto, 4 days before surgery I was 296#, surgery was 1/6/04 and as of this am I weighed 188.5 - almost 108#!!!!!!!! I do exercise a lot and I think that has helped a lot, emotionally if nothing else. But even better numbers is my BMI has dropped from 46 to under 30! I am thrilled!!!! Don't know what I want my final numbers to be, guess I will know when I get there, right? Keep up the good work! Sarah
