I too can eat more. I'l' be one year post-op on the 21st. How many calories should we be intaking in a day? I eat eggs, chicken, turkey, pork chops, and some steaks. I also eat yogurt, nuts, and slim fast low carb snack bars or akins snack bars. I have a slim fast low carb shake for breakfast every morning. I drink @ least 16 ounces of skim milk every day. The thing I'm really bad with is my water intake, I'm lucky if I have 8 ozs. a day.
I'm excerising @ least 4-5 days a week.
Actually, I'm training for a 1/2 marathon (I'm walking not running).
I'm stuck now @ 128 lbs. Actually, I flucuate between 126 and 129.5.
I too could use some ideas and/or suggestions!
My goal is 124 (that'll be 1/2 my starting weight).
I also would like to know if my saggy skin will tighten up a little. I think I do have a hernia.

I seem to be able to eat a lot more now too at the one year mark which is today for me. Does anyone know what we're supposed to be able to hold at this point?
I think I can hold too much! I am not sure though?!?!

Topic: Today marks the one year anniversary for me ....
Today marks the one year mark for me --
I started out at 247 lbs. and today weighing in at 155 lbs. So I am 92 lbs lighter and went from a size 18 to a 8. I am feeling good today!!! Whew don't you know one year ago at this time I was in anxiety heaven playing the waiting game to get into do my surgery.
I am very excited about my progress except for the fact that I have s-l-o-w-e-d down a LOT! I haven't really lost anything else in a month. I am staying stable. I hope my body is not done with losing. I think I am eating too many carbs. So starting yesterday I cut back to the basis of protein, protein, protein, and water
If anyone on this board had Dr Duncan and had surgery on 1/5/04 contact me I'd love to see your results so far

I brought back out the food scale and measuring cups. I notice I can eat a lot more in a sitting now.... TIME TO STOP FEELING.
Back to measuring to be safe is my plan.

Actually I find that when I am stuck increase protein and water. Instead of eating 5 times I would try to add in 2 more snacks.
Do you eat nuts and jerky? They are a great snack I rely on.
Ya I seem to be able to eat more now. As of the new year I have brought out the food scale and measuring cups again. Gotta get back on a measured track instead of just feelin it.

First of ALL,HAPPY 2005...GOODBYEEEEE 2004 phewwww! Long hard year for me. You all look sooooooooooo FABULOUS, congrats!!!!
I've been stuck for 4 MONTHS now,I go up & down the same 5-6 # since fall. I need some protein ideas...AS well as anything that has helped you loose that last 20#.
I eat cottage cheese, eggs, meat...What else fills you up? I also use atkins protein bars as a snack. I find now that I can hold ALOT more than I use to which SCARES MEEEEE badly. HOW do you fill up your pouch?? I also need to stop eating chocolate around my period, mentally it helps but it is NOT helping my weight loss!!!

Hi Barbie, and lemme first say how proud I am of you! You are doing wonderful!! You are staying positive and that is so important.
As for my plan to get back on track (the past couple of months I veered so off-course I was going the other way, lol), I threw out ALL the junk I was starting to buy again.Cookies, ice cream etc...and I went back on protein shake in the A.m...I seem to have become a coffee addict since this summer, so that is my resoultions..get off the coffee and start to exercise more...
