Happy Surgiversary to all my surgery sisters!!
I can't believe that I am four months post-op today. I remember the days before surgery when I thought it would never come, then my 4 week liquid diet post-op, which I thought would never end. I remember being 14 pounds down my first week and thinking that it was not enough, and my first experience with drinking while eating, where I thought I would never live through the pain. And so much more.
I'm 72.7 pounds down as of today and am loving life more than ever. It's hard sometimes to imagine that I was as fat as I was, and it's just as hard to imagine that right now I'm at a lower weight than I've been in almost 9 years. Every day is a new challenge but one I'm excited to meet. And I certainly don't know all there is to know about life post-op, as new things come up every day.
Thank you all for your support during these past months - for always being there to give a cheer or a hug or a shot in the arm - whatever is needed to keep me on track and looking foward. And just for *being* here when I feel like lurking and getting support through all the posts and profiles and pics.
Love you all,
Beth
PS - I am hoping to post 4 month pics tomorrow!
Happy Surgiversary Ms. Laker Girl. I am proud of you! It's both our surgiversary days. I have a doctor's appt. tomorrow which is my second one since surgery so hopefully that goes well. Wow 72.7 pounds is incredible girl! You, Dae and I all had our surgeries together so maybe we can plan something one of these months to meet up! Got to keep each other going. Anyways, you have been so supportive and sweet through all of this. Keep up the good work.
Karen S.
Thanks so much Karen for the very nice words. I know you are doing fantastic as well! Us Januarians are the best, for real!
Dana and I and Carrie L (who posts on the Cali board but had her surgery in late January) have talked about us California girls getting together too - hopefully one day it will happen, and if it does you have to be there!
